Spring at Last

It's been a very long and difficult winter here in the Midwest.  Spring has finally started to put in an appearance.


Skunk Cabbage!
The Chicago area's first spring flower has come into bloom.


Sandhill Cranes!

The spring bird migration is well underway.

My front yard has burst into bloom.  Now I await the year's first butterfly

    I love your Crocuses. I rarely see them anymore. All the trees are in bloom here, and the magnolias are fantastic. I went into DC today and saw that the cherry trees are 2-3 days away from reaching peak. The trains were PACKED with tourists looking at them. You should definitely fly out here tomorrow to see for yourself :-)
